'This is a dream for me' - Cameron Menzies after first Grand Slam win

Cameron Menzies has had a dream start to the Grand Slam giving his hero Gary Anderson a good game but unfortunately losing but grabbed his first win yesterday against Simon Whitlock. The BDO star has been the real success story of the tournament so far and has even said he is loving every moment of the tournament so far and admits he's got nothing to lose.
"This is a dream for me but I'm loving every moment," said Menzies, who has emerged on the BDO circuit this year. "I've never experienced anything like this in my life.
"I've got nothing to lose and I'm just happy to be here in this company. Just to play Gary yesterday was incredible for me, but to beat Simon is amazing."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
