The European Tour has produced some brilliant moments so far in the season and the PDC have looked back on that by collating the top five moments of the tournaments so far.

Number five came with Steve Lennon who reached the final of one of the most recent European Tour tournaments, the Dutch Darts Masters in its inaugural staging in Zwolle. He defeated the likes of Mensur Suljovic & Kim Huybrechts before losing out like a lot of players do to Michael van Gerwen. It was a landmark moment though for the Irish prospect. Number four came in the form of Rob Cross going close to perfection once again. ‘Voltage’ hit eight perfect darts against Vincent van der Voort in Sindelfingen but missed the ninth meaning the curse rolls on. https://twitter.com/OfficialPDC/status/992895669466779649 Number three came at the European Darts Grand Prix where Michael van Gerwen produced a performance he called his best ever. The World Number One hit three 110-plus averages in his quarter-final, semi-final and final matches. This was in defeating the likes of Dave Chisnall, Michael Smith, Darren Webster & Alan Tabern as he swept the field aside. This was in contrast to the following weekend where Mighty Mike had a poor time average wise but still won the tournament. Number two came with Jonny Clayton who made the most of being a lucky seed due to Michael van Gerwen withdrawing. He disposed of Gerwyn Price in the final as the Ferret’s career just seems to be going from strength to strength. This gained him World Cup qualification and made sure like the number one moment that his progression through to majors for the rest of the year were secure. Finally came one of the performances of the year in the form of Max Hopp in Saarbrucken. A wonder weekend saw Van Gerwen dumped out by Ian White leaving the path for a new winner and Hopp made sure that was going to be him. Gutsy performances by him in the semi final against Rob Cross & Michael Smith in the final meant he finally lived up to his potential and meant like alluded to his qualification for majors was secure. https://twitter.com/OfficialPDC/status/985821329415864320
