As the end of the year edges closer as does Q-School and it seems like Wes Newton and Andy Hamilton will have to head to Q-School to keep their tour cards next year. This is a dramatic demise for two of the best known players of the modern era, 'Warrior' was a Premier League player only 3 years ago and 'The Hammer' was a world finalist in 2012 and a Premier League player the year later in 2013.
Their fate was sealed due to the World Championship Qualifier in Milton Keynes on Monday with both men having to win a bit like Ted Evetts to keep any hope of keeping their cards alive. Of the two, it seems like Hamilton will be the most likely to win through the unforgiving format that is PDC Qualifying School. Hamilton has had a poor year but has qualified for 3 Euro Tour events.
So we won't be seeing either player at the World Championship and potentially not the tour next year if they don't get through Q-School.
