Daryl Gurney was one of the leading lights in this year’s Premier League Darts with reaching the play-offs, before he was beaten by Michael van Gerwen.

Gurney despite that though isn’t taking anything for granted and said that is because of the standard. He spoke about and said that if 2015 Dolan turns up, they can beat anybody in Hamburg. "Just because I'm top four in the world and reached the Premier League Play-Offs doesn't mean I have the right to beat anybody else," said Gurney. "You can never predict how well you're going to do in PDC event because the standard is so high, I could go and average 104 and get beaten. "I know Brendan is at home practicing hard and hopefully he will be as good as he was alongside Mickey Mansell at the 2015 event before I started playing in it. "If we get that player back we can beat anybody in Hamburg and you never know, we could win the whole thing. "Looking back on this year's Premier League it was successful for me because I beat my points tally from the previous year, which was my goal at the start. "It wasn't to be at The O2 but the Premier League is the best darts competition you can play in and I can be pleased with how I performed overall."
