Lennon through to maiden Euro Tour semi-final & will face Huybrechts

We have our first confirmed semi-final in Zwolle with Steve Lennon making his first PDC senior semi-final by seeing off Mensur Suljovic and he will face Kim Huybrechts who defeated Peter Wright.
The young Irishman hit an 87.59 average in a 6-3 victory over 'The Gentle' with 2 maximums and a 38% checkout rate.
Lennon also capped it off with a brilliant 143 checkout to win the match when he needed it most. His opponent like alluded to will be Kim Huybrechts.
He came through a nerve shredding encounter with Peter Wright which went to a deciding leg. Wright missed multiple match darts and Huybrechts hit D4 to win through.
After his game in his interview he was in tears showing how much it means to him to be back towards some sort of form after a spell in the darting doldrums.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
