Lewis after reaching back-to-back Pro Tour finals: 'The long practicing is paying off'

Adrian Lewis reached back-to-back Pro Tour finals over the weekend as well as qualifying for both Euro Tour events. On both of his finals he ran into inspired players in Michael Smith and Mickey Mansell.
'Jackpot' has not become disheartened by this though and sees it as progress in reaching the top again. Also for Lewis he admits the 'long practicing is paying off'.
As well as that he was 'really pleased' to reach both finals and qualify for both Euro Tours and will hope to take that form into the rest of the year including the Euro Tour and Major tournaments.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
