Michael van Gerwen smashed through his second round with a win over James Wilson but not only that he set two records in the process.
According to darts statistician for the PDC, Christopher Kempf his 108.65 average was the 8th highest average ever recorded at the PDC World Championship and his 10th consecutive match in the showpiece tournament to hit a 103+ average which shows the dominance of the current reigning World Champion.
Of course Mighty Mike is already on the list another two times at least with him holding the highest average in the history of the tournament over one match in his semi-final win last year against Raymond van Barneveld.
