Mickey Mansell moves up nearly 30 spots on updated Pro Tour Order of Merit

Mickey Mansell had an unlikely triumph on Sunday at Players Championship Eight, this shown in the updated Pro Tour Order of Merit with the Clonoe Cyclone moving up to #44 nearly 30 spots.
Like alluded to it shows how unlikely his triumph was as the Northern Irishman hasn't shown anywhere near that level of form on the Pro Tour; which is potentially a reason why he didn't win a title till Sunday.
The player who Mansell vanquished in the final and who was also vanquished in the other final on Saturday, Adrian Lewis moves to within £4,000 of the top 16.
This shows 'Jackpot's return to form on the Pro Tour and he will want to show that in major tournaments and the Euro Tour a part that the 2x World Champion has been lacking.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
