Geert Nentjes has made a real name for himself in the 2018 PDC Development Tour.
The 20-year-old Dutchman had a stunning weekend in Wigan, reaching two of the last four Development Tour finals of the year. Though he lost both, Nentjes did enough to earn a spot at the 2019 PDC World Championship. He also entered the PDC World Youth Championship as the fourth seed, losing to Martin Schindler in the quarter-finals.
Statistician Erik Middelkoop charted Nentjes' unerring consistency across 20 events. The youngster earned a minimum of £850 at all five Development Tour weekends. That puts him £500 clear of the second-best in terms of consistency, Bradley Kirk. Ted Evetts, who joins Nentjes at the Alexandra Palace, claimed at least £300 per weekend. That said, Evetts went on to claim three event titles across the season. Ryan Meikle, winner of the 11th event, took at least £250 on every weekend.
After his successful Development Tour season, the Dutch ace can now focus on the World Championship debut.
