Toon Greebe was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. The 29-year-old who has competed in both the PDC and most recently the BDO from Den Bosch had an infection in his foot.
The situation was so serious that the foot of Greebe had to be amputated to save his life. The Dutchman had suffered from his foot for several weeks and had problems walking.
On Wednesday, Greebe then took the step to go to the hospital, where he received bad news from the doctors. Action has immediately been taken and he is now in intensive care.
