Race to World Matchplay: Updated Order of Merit

The World Matchplay is coming up next month and the race to the Winter Gardens is hotting up with only four events left before the cut off.

Quite a few places could be changed round before the end of the cut off especially on the ProTour Order of Merit with two Euro Tour’s and two Pro Tours left which could dictate who is going to be at the World Matchplay.
This is even the case on the main Order of Merit with Adrian Lewis in particular on the verge of overtaking Kim Huybrechts & Darren Webster. A few good runs in his last three remaining events could do it.
In terms of the ProTour, the projected cut off is £34,750 which means only from Jonny Clayton in first down to Steve Beaton down in 11th are safe.
The likes of Jelle Klaasen & Steve Lennon could be under threat as a result especially from Richard North just below and even Chris Dobey further down who has double qualification for the two remaining Euro Tours.
What is for sure is that the race to the Winter Gardens is not done and will intensify in the next two weeks before we know the lineup.
