Van den Bergh defeated Martin Schindler as well as Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson on the way to the final but just fell short. Despite the loss, the Belgian hailed the run as one of the best days of his life and called it unbelievable. He sees it as a huge step in his career and as a result he will keep believing which is something he admits he did when facing Van Gerwen and Anderson. "It's one of the best days of my life, it's unbelievable," said Van den Bergh. "I have to thank the
PDC and the crowd and I'm thankful to have been in the final. "I've learned a lot and it means so much to me. It's a huge step for me and I'll keep believing. What I've shown today is all the things I've been working in and I'm happy with the result. "Winning against Michael and Gary is something I've been dreaming of, but these things happen when you keep believing."
