Dartsnews.com has added former UK Open runner-up Vincent van der Voort to the line-up for the 2019 Premier League Darts VIP Prediction Competition.
Vincent van der Voort has been one of the familiar faces behind the desk in the Dutch darts studio on RTL 7. Analyzing matches is not a problem for him, but now he has to show his predictive skills. Fast Vinnie has not played in the Premier League himself yet. In 2015 he was very close to receive a wildcard after reaching the semi-finals at the Players Championship Finals and the quarter-finals at the World Championship. Van der Voort's run was ended by Taylor, who beat him 5-3. Dartsnews' Premier League Darts VIP Prediction Competition returns this season, after the inaugural edition being held last year. Sky Sports presenter Laure James after sixteen exciting weeks. Several darts experts will meet in our VIP Prediction Competition during the Premier League Darts 2019. A league of twelve, comprising of players, analysts and journalists will take part. The twelve entrants will be announced over the next few days ahead of the first night in Newcastle on February 7. The rules are very simple. Every Premier League Darts week, they will predict the results of that week's play. Choosing the right winner will yield one point, while predicting a correct scoreline earns them two. There is no Judgement Night for our twelve predictors. However, they will all play along until the play-offs at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday 23 May. Whoever has collected the most points after play concludes will be the first VIP prediction competition champion.

- Many fans had a sour taste in their mouth by the end of this match. Mike was cruising to victory, playing beautiful darts, when the whistling started in earnest, particularly on his doubles. You could see in Mike's face that it was really affecting his concentration. The referee should have asked for order, just to show that the whistling is unacceptable, and Luke Littler could also have done his part to quieten down the crowd instead of "taking full advantage.:" I put that down to his age though. He needs some good advice on this from his management team and/or more seasoned players. It's got to be about who's best on the night, not who is being harassed by the crowd. Luke Littler played well to get back into the game and win, but it was a hollow victory. If he goes on to win the tournament, that triumph too will be tainted because of this match.
