Vincent van der Voort has hit his first nine-dart finish on the PDC circuit since 2009. 'Fast Vinnie' produced a perfect leg in the third round of Players Championship 17 against Rob Cross.
The former UK Open finalist started the third leg with 180 and 177 scores, followed by a stunning 144 checkout. Despite the nine-dart finish, Van der Voort was not able to upset Cross. The reigning world champion beat the Dutchman 6-3.
Earlier on the day, Van der Voort missed the chance to hit a perfect leg. 'The Dutch Destroyer' missed double 12 to produce a nine-dart finish in the first round against Arron Monk.
