Michael van Gerwen doesn't believe Adrian Lewis when he said he was a bit disappointed when Raymond van Barneveld lost to Darius Labanauskas. The Dutchman called his English rival 'a liar' in conversation with Dartsnews.com after his victory over Max Hopp.

Because Van Barneveld of the World Championship to Darius Labanauskas, the Lithuanian takes on Lewis in the Alexandra Palace on Sunday evening. That led to disappointment with 'Jackpot', he said after his win against Ted Evetts. "I think he deserved that big match. He's only got a couple of years left of playing and it was sad to see him lose. "It won't change my approach because it will be an equally tough game against Darius'', Lewis told the PDC after that game. ''He's lying'', Van Gerwen said when he was faced with Lewis' words. ''Adrian Lewis is a liar. Of course he said he prefers to play Raymond, but it's easy to talk afterwards.'' The world number one himself likes to play against Labanauskas in the fourth round of the World Championship. ''Of course, that makes sense. If you want a good game, then I should play against Raymond or Adrian. But to make it easier for myself, I prefer to throw against Labanauskas.'' for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
