Michael van Gerwen is the final Quarter-Finalist in Zwolle but is lucky to be so with Darren Webster not taking advantage of an out of sorts World Number One.
An average of just 92 summed up the display for 'Mighty Mike' who will face Kyle Anderson later. This though is a usual occurrence for Van Gerwen and he usually gets stronger so will hope to use that tonight in his assault to the title.
As it is though, despite not being at his best MVG will still be favourite for the title later on and if he can up his average he will be tough to defeat.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
