VIDEO: Van Gerwen hits 170 checkout during match against King at UK Open

Michael van Gerwen has began his contest with Mervyn King by pinning a 170 checkout for an immediate break of throw to start proceedings at the UK Open in Minehead.
King was sat on 16 with Mighty Mike well back on the biggest finish of them all but as ever is the case, Van Gerwen shouldn't be counted out.
He went on to hit the finish to in turn send out a message that despite his loss to Wade in the Premier League he is still the player to beat.

- It is simply not true to say that these 5 players are guaranteed to keep their Tour Cards. At least Karel Sedlacek, Dylan Slavin and Stephen Burton are in danger of losing them, especially if they fail to win their first round match.
