Saturday night saw the return of the MODUS Online Live League with Richie Burnett being crowned champion and taking home the £2,000 top prize.
Burnett saw off a fellow legend in Robert Thornton 4-2 in the final with both involved in the upcoming World Seniors and potentially showing a glimpse of what is to come.
Split into two groups with Martin Adams, Fallon Sherrock and Arron Monk in one and Robert Thornton, Richie Burnett and Jason Askew in the other. It was Adams, Thornton, Burnett and Sherrock who made it through.
In a high quality encounter, Thornton made it through averaging 95 in a 4-2 win defying 101 from Adams in the process. While despite only averaging 79, Burnett had enough to see off Sherrock 4-2.
It was Adams that then finished third with a play-off played against Sherrock which was won 4-2 before Burnett claimed the title.
Going forward, the Monday to Friday action will return in the Live League playing for a Saturday final like before with the latter to qualify for Champions Week with a £10,000 prize fund at the end.
