Painter becomes ADC European Champion defeating Richardson in Bristol

Kevin Painter defeated James Richardson on Friday night in Bristol to become the ADC European Champion with a 10-8 victory over Ruthless with three 180's.

ADC (Amateur Darts Circuit) was previously MAD and is ran by Steve Brown, former PDC ranking event winner and Richardson held the belt from its inception until now.

He went out into a 7-4 lead looking likely to retain but Painter reduced the gap to one at 7-6 down. Both missed multiple chances at doubles in the requisite leg but Painter went 8-8 which was pivotal as he went on to seal the next two legs for victory.

Despite retiring, Painter has shown no signs of letting up being successful in both the World Seniors and now the ADC.
