The first round has begun at Players Championship 12 with Gary Anderson among the early winners in Leicester on Sunday afternoon.
Anderson eased past Arron Monk 6-2, while there was victory for Scott Williams who had a superb run yesterday after not the best start to his first full season as a PDC Tour Card holder.
Williams saw off Raymond van Barneveld 6-4 on the streaming board with a 127 on the bull to close it out. Steve Beaton also impressed with three ton plus checkouts in an emphatic 6-1 win over Jamie Clark.
Top averages so far come from Chris Dobey with 105 in seeing off Luke Woodhouse, as well as 109 for Jose de Sousa in defeating Ron Meulenkamp.
