Ashton in pole position for return at Grand Slam of Darts

The two spots for the PDC World Darts Championship have already been distributed at the PDC Women's Series, but on Sunday there is still a starting spot to be earned for the Grand Slam of Darts.

Fallon Sherrock and Lisa Ashton assured themselves on Saturday of participation at Alexandra Palace. Sherrock also has an invitation for the Grand Slam of Darts in her pocket because she was the best player during the first six tournaments of the Women's Series.

However, the best lady of the six tournaments this weekend can also participate in the Grand Slam of Darts. After the three tournaments on Saturday, Lisa Ashton is in the best position. She is second behind Sherrock (2600 pounds) with 1850 pounds.

Ashton has a 900 pound lead on Mikuru Suzuki (1850 pounds). Behind the Japanese, Deta Hedman and Denise Cassidy follow with 750 pounds each.
