Ashton won through in a whitewash in only the fourth final during the Women's Series not to feature 'The Lancashire Rose' facing Fallon Sherrock.
She lost out to Ashton in the Quarter-Finals 4-3 with victories over Donna-Maria Rainsley (4-0), Jo Locke (4-2), Laura Turner (4-2) and Rhian O'Sullivan (5-2) bringing her to the final.
The four-time World Champion saw off the three-time winner with ease though with an 81 average.
Only two events remain and it is basically certain that she will claim a spot in Wolverhampton next month.
