Nathan Aspinall continues to produce in this year's
Premier League Darts with a 7-3 win over Peter Wright.
Aspinall produced a 105.87 average and 50% on the doubles and as a result he heads to the top of the league currently level with Michael van Gerwen and Dimitri van den Bergh.
Wright doubled his lead early on with a 13-darter on double 16 but Aspinall came back with a brilliant turnaround pinning an 84 checkout on the bull to make it 2-2.
He completed the turnaround from there hitting double 18 to make it 3-2 after Wright missed bull for a 170 checkout.
Wright stopped the rot and levelled with a 120 checkout on double 20 to make it 3-3. But an important break followed which saw Aspinall break away with a fourth 180 and double 20 to make it 5-3.
He consolidated this with double 20 to make it 6-3 and secure at least a point. Wright had a chance to hold and make it 6-4 but missed double five and Aspinall returned for the victory on double 20.
