Australia are into the Quarter-Finals of the
World Cup of Darts after seeing off a spirited effort from Sweden to move through 4-1 in Frankfurt.
The scrappy nature of the tie was evident early on with
Simon Whitlock battling his way to a 4-3 victory over Johan Engstrom despite missing 18 darts at doubles throughout the contest.
The double trouble sneaked into
Damon Heta's tie with the in-form Daniel Larsson and it nearly derailed Australia's charge. The latter made it 2-2 before pinning bull-Treble 14 and double 20 to go 3-2 up before sealing it with an 80 checkout.
Onto the pairs decider and Australia eased into a 3-0 lead over Sweden before sealing it on double 10 4-1 and the heavily fancied duo are through albeit with a scare.
