Baggish dedicates Lewis win to brother after receiving devastating news

Danny Baggish produced an exceptional win over two-time World Champion, Adrian Lewis at the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship to set up a tie with Glen Durrant.

Baggish hit a pivotal 170 and 91 checkout en route to victory in the latter half of the tie and this all came after the American had received some devastating news about his brother suffering a severe stroke.

"I'm over the moon. I know what kind of player he is, everyone knows what kind of player he is and he caught fire for a minute and I kind of kept my composure looking over to my family," said Baggish post match.

"I got a message in the morning from my sister and she didn't mean to send it to me knowing I was over here. My oldest brother suffered a severe stroke and he had to be brought into emergency surgery to get the clot out of the brain and he's in ICU as we speak. Harrison I love you this is for you."

"Once I got the message, I let out a bag of emotions. The first person I reached out to was Devon Petersen and he gave me his story and telling me do it for him. There is nothing you can take a positive out of that but you're here to play the World Championships, have him on your heart, have him and play for him."
