Bunting and Plaisier set up semi-final tie at the German Darts Open after wins over Gilding and Raman

Stephen Bunting and Wesley Plaisier will return later tonight to go head-to-head in the semi-finals of the German Darts Open after both players successfully made it through their respective quarter-final ties.

Bunting was up against the reigning UK Open champ, Andrew Gilding in his last 8 tie. A tense, hard-fought encounter neither player was able to really build up the momentum. In the end though, it was 'the Bullet' who managed to drag himself through 6-5 with an average of just over 90.

The last of the quarter-finals saw Plaisier take on Belgian, Brian Raman. Plaisier started by far the better of the pair and threatened to completely run away with the match as he moved 5-1 ahead. Raman did fight back somewhat, getting close at 5-3 but sadly that's where the comeback ended. Plaisier into the semi-finals with a 6-3 victory.
