Matt Campbell has the potential for a career defining few weeks in his darting career with the Canadian ace winning the European Challenge Tour.
This booked his spot in the World Championship and the Grand Slam of Darts. He joined The Darts Show podcast to discuss securing his Tour Card.
"I don't think words can really describe how the feeling is," said Campbell to The Darts Show podcast.
"I'm really looking forward to it. I'm expecting to just play good darts and hopefully have some good matches along the way and whatever happens happens."
"I think I put lot of extra pressure on myself that was not needed. I didn't really deal with it well until I was off the top of the leaderboard."
He was also asked about his future plans in terms of commuting over to the UK or staying over and for the moment, he sees the travelling like Jeff Smith does as the best option.
"I will probably do what Jeff (Smith) does seen as I have three young kids at home. If I've got to stay in the UK for months at a time I've got to do what I've got to do."
Next up for Campbell will be the World Cup of Darts where he will team with Jeff Smith once more and he has set his aims.
"I know what Jeff's capable of, I know what I'm capable of. I know what the professionals are capable of. If we can just keep our head down and grind it out, I can't see why we can't make a good run of it this year."
"I'd like to make at least the Quarter-Finals again and go from there."
