Cullen after defeat to Van Gerwen in World Championship epic: "Never been as gutted to lose a game of darts in my life!"

Joe Cullen lost out to Michael van Gerwen in one of the greatest games of all time on the PDC World Darts Championship stage missing two match darts and losing out to the World Number One who came back from 3-1 down to win 4-3.

Cullen didn't speak to Sky Sports after the classic tie but he did take to Twitter a few hours after the defeat to discuss his disappointment at losing out.

"Not really sure what to feel after that. Never been as gutted to lose a game of darts in my life! I'm sure I’ll find some positives over the next week or two but at the moment, I’ve never felt as deflated. Credit to Van Gerwen for sticking in there like the champion he is, can't wait to get home." said Cullen on Twitter.
