The World Cup of Darts starts on Thursday in Jena, Germany with Singapore back after a short absence with travel issues blighting the pair of the living legend Paul Lim and Harith Lim.
Both are seen as a must watch team in the format due to their tendency to cause shocks and the former cannot wait to be back.
"I'm really excited, this has been a tough year. I was worried that Singapore wouldn't be one of the countries involved in this World Cup, because we missed out last year (due to travel restrictions). I was talking to the PDC and they said 'if you can get there, you've got a spot'. I'm so happy to be back in again. It's one of my favourite tournaments, so I'm motivated to perform well," said Lim to the Weekly Dartscast.
World Seniors Darts Championship
The 67-year-old Singapore Slinger has also been invited to take part in the first World Seniors Darts Championship next year and he calls it a 'new dream' of sorts.
"When I was told I was invited, I am delighted about that. I have a new dream because in the Senior Worlds I know I'm in that category right now and this is the first time they are going to hold a Senior World Championship so I felt I have a good chance.
"Of course Phil Taylor is going to be there but I still think with him not competing for so long maybe there's a lapse somewhere. I think I'm improving too, I will be putting a lot of effort into it."
