Dom Taylor leads the PDC UK Development Tour after the opening weekend a few weeks ago and after reaching four finals and claiming one title, he was understandably ecstatic.
"I don't know what it was about this weekend but I just went in feeling a whole different person. I was gutted after the first day losing in the first two finals but eventually managed to get the third one. Unfortunately losing out in the fourth one but reflecting on it was an absolutely amazing weekend and I can't really see much that I'd done wrong," said Taylor to the Weekly Dartscast.
Dartitis
While starting his darting career, 'The Tower' has an interesting story having battled with dartitis and escaping the potential career ending issue.
"It was horrible at first. I was still going out every week to try and sit there and watch but with the passion I had and still got for the game, I couldn't physically sit there."
"I was throwing little bits for six months then I stopped completely for six months. It was probably one of the hardest things I've done but I'm happy I managed to do it because now I'm coming back and I'm better than before."
Potential Tour Card
Now he sits on the verge of a Tour Card and he discussed how that would feel.
"It would mean absolutely everything. I don't know what would top that off. I've just got to keep that positive thinking and gameplay going and if I can manage to make it onto the ProTour, that would be absolutely phenomenal."
