Dutch top darters prove most productive on highest finishes

Dirk van Duijvenbode and Michael van Gerwen are known as high-scoring darters, but they also appear to hold their own on the high finishes.

Statistics platform Darts Orakel has brought out a list of the players who managed to throw the most 161 finishes since 2020. What turns out? No fewer than three Dutch darters are in the top four.

In the past three and a half years, Van Duijvenbode and Van Gerwen managed to produce a finish of 161 or higher 24 times. Incidentally, 'Mighty Mike' did need more attempts for that.

Number three on the list is Michael Smith, who managed 23 such finishes. Danny Noppert follows in fourth place with 21 times a finish of 161 or higher. After that, a gap falls towards number five. That spot is held by Peter Wright (15 times).
