It has been the night of the comeback wins and the darting drama at the
Grand Slam of Darts with
Gary Anderson and
Stephen Bunting the latest victors in their Group E and Group C clashes respectively in Wolverhampton.
Anderson in particular impressed against Dirk van Duijvenbode who has recently been injured. But was 4-2 up at one point as 'The Flying Scotsman' had to win three on the spin to seal it 5-4.

In the early stages Van Duijvenbode was still doing quite well, hitting a 16-darter and two 17-darters to take a 3-2 lead. In between, Anderson threw a 12-darter twice.
Then came a bizarre sixth leg, in which both players missed a huge number of doubles. Anderson wasted nine break chances, before Van Duijvenbode took a 4-2 lead with his tenth chance. Anderson then quickly forced a deciding leg via a 12-darter and a 74 finish.
In the decisive leg, Van Duijvenbode threw just too few trebles to give himself matchdarts. Anderson had 76 left after four visits and the Scot managed to pin this.
Stephen Bunting managed to win the friendly with Dave Chisnall in what is often described as a St Helens derby. In the last leg, Chisnall had a chance to win the match, but his matchdart landed in the double 1 instead of the double 20. Bunting then hit the double 4 to take the first two points in Group E.
