Get your visas on time
When travelling to foreign countries outside of Europe, it is always good to check whether UK citizens need a visa. For the United States all UK citizens need either a valid visa or an ESTA. An ESTA is an electronic travel authorisation and replaces the classic visa. It can be easily applied for online and will be accorded within 3 days on average. It is valid for 2 years, can be used for multiple trips, and each trip can be 90 days maximum. For Australia and New-Zealand, the same principle hold. UK citizens either need a valid visa of an electronic travel authorisation, the eVisitor or NZeTA, respectively. Both can also be applied for online and are often approved within a few days. The eVisitor is valid for one year, and can be used for an unlimited amount of trips. Each trip can only last a maximum of 3 months.
The NZeTA for New Zealand is valid for two years, and can also be used for multiple trips, each one can last a maximum of 3 months. Within that two year validity period, you can only stay a maximum of 6 months per year in New-Zealand.
With all three of these visas you are permitted to be in the audience of a sports game and visit the tournaments. You are not permitted to participate in the tournament as a sportsperson or another job that will earn you money. For that you need a different visa. You can decide yourself whether you only want to stay a short time or combine the darts tournaments with a nice holiday, since you can stay up to three months in all three countries. And seeing as the New-Zealand and Australia Darts Masters are in the same month and close in timing, there is no better way.
