On Monday, it was announced that the PDC Autumn Series will take place at Halle 39 in Hildesheim, Germany between September 12-16; but one of the main aspects of the PDC Summer Series will continue and that is regarding the Grand Slam of Darts.
During the PDC Summer Series, the winner of the Order of Merit would claim a Grand Slam of Darts spot. Peter Wright finished top but as World Champion he didn't claim the spot and it didn't roll over to the next player who could have gained qualification; which was James Wade in third.
A spot will be up for grabs again during the PDC Autumn Series as an added incentive for players. There will also be qualification before the five days itself for the World Series of Darts Finals in Salzburg, Austria taking place the week after.
As well as confirmation of the World Grand Prix line-up; meaning there is a lot to play for when PDC action returns next month.
