Damon Heta saw off Simon Whitlock during the Hungarian Darts Trophy with a meeting of World Cup of Darts teammates who will take to the stage in Jena.
Heta of course discussed the sad passing of his best friend, Kyle Anderson and what it meant for the darting community to come together like they have.
"That's what we talk about a lot, the World Cup. It really means a lot to us to get over that line and to win a World Cup would be insane. I have a sneaky feeling we're playing with three so we will see what happens," said Heta to Online Darts.
"Mentally for sure, these last couple of weeks I feel really drained. I think the darting world owes it, he has put so much into it and when you look at it, it's not as if he's come away with a ridiculous amount of money and he's just put in sacrifice and not reaped the records so for the darting community to give back like that, it's really overwhelming."
