Huybrechts speaks after thrilling win over Noppert: "I feel like I have a huge opportunity"

Kim Huybrechts is through to the Last 16 at the 2020 PDC World Championship to carry on his brilliant run so far at the Alexandra Palace.
Huybrechts defeated Danny Noppert in a 4-2 win which saw him average 95 against the Dutchman and he believes now it could be a huge tournament for him but that despite that, Luke Humphries or Nico Kurz will feel the same.
"It was an up and down kind of game but I managed to make it mine," said Huybrechts.
"I'm getting closer to my best game and I feel like I have a huge opportunity here but both Luke and Nico will think the same."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
