Luke Littler has qualified for the second round of the
Belgian Darts Open. 'The Nuke' edged a first round thriller against José de Sousa, 6-5.
In a packed Oktoberhallen in Wieze, Littler had his hands more than full with De Sousa, who checked out 100% of his darts at doubles until the last leg, where the Portuguese blew his chance at victory.
“I’ve always said that I love playing in front of a massive crowd,” reflected the 17-year-old sensation in his post-match interview. “I’m glad to get through."
In the next round, Littler will face off against Krzysztof Ratajski and he's aware improvement is likely to be required if he wants to go through another round. "I know that my scoring is there, so I will have a good rest tonight and come here tomorrow and practise those doubles,” the Englishman concludes.
