We are into the semi-finals at PDC Challenge Tour 3 with four players left vying it out for the first title of the day and the third of the weekend.
The first match sees Gordon Mathers take on Matthew Dennant. The former has been a dominant force at times over on the DPA Circuit in Australia and has seemingly brought that form over to the UK.
He will face 'The Scholar' who of course is best known for nearly denying Glen Durrant his Tour Card at Q-School.
Mathers saw off James Richardson 5-2; followed by Paul Williams 5-1 to reach this point. While Dennant defeated Connor Scutt 5-3 then the impressive Cameron Menzies 5-1.
The other semi-final sees the resurgent James Hubbard who has had a torrid time of it on the oche in recent years takes on Nathan Rafferty.
Rafferty is a two time winner on the Development Tour and will hope to add a
Challenge Tour to his resume today.
Hubbard is one of the best known exponents of the youth system winning the PDC World Youth Championship; but from there not fulfilling his promise but after playing Q-School where impressed at times he seems to be enjoying his darts again.
He saw off Richie Burnett 5-2 and Boris Koltsov 5-2. While for Rafferty it was Jake Jones 5-3 and Graham Usher 5-4.
