They announced that they won't be able to hold any further events this year; which means Mathers qualifies for the World Championship; after finishing top of the standings with 57 points.
This was ahead of Damon Heta and James Bailey and marks his second appearance in the tournament; after making his debut in the 2018 edition due to finishing top of the 2017 DPA rankings.
He went on to lose out to Japanese ace Seigo Asada in the preliminary round in a 2-1 sets defeat but is the first international qualifier for this year's tournament.
