Menzies wins at European Tour debut, Kanik edges out Dekker

Cameron Menzies has won his match at his European Tour debut. 'Cammy' beat Mark Wilson 6-2 in the first round of the European Darts Open in Leverkusen.

Menzies started fantastic, as he kicked-off with a 140 finish. On the aid of two 180's and a ton check-out, the Scotsman extended his lead to 4-0. Wilson claimed two legs, before Menzies finished the game on tops in the eighth leg.
Tytus Kanik made his first appearance on the European Tour as well. It was a succesful debut for the Pole, as he defeated Jan Dekker 6-3. Richard North won 6-0 against Martin Atkins, while Luke Woodhouse claimed victory in the first game of the tournament against Ryan Meikle.
