Nicholson completes back-to-back wins over Van Barneveld, Nijman continues unbeaten run with victory over Evans

The action continues at the Modus Icons of Darts Live League as Paul Nicholson and Wessel Nijman add further points to their tallies.
Nicholson averaged 91 to get his first win of the day but a second consecutive one over Raymond van Barneveld 5-2 who continues to search for his first win in the Icons of Darts Live League.
It is now six in a row as he heads into his tie with Andy Jenkins who is two from two already today and looks to be on a roll to potentially inflict a seventh straight defeat on the Dutch legend.
Speaking of Dutchman, Nijman continues to impress as he made it successfully six from six victories in the Icons of Darts hitting a 95.7 average and already hitting his stride with the alluded to average a theme of his series yesterday.
In doing so he defeated David Evans 5-3 who himself only had Nijman in his loss column yesterday and it is the same story today.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
