Noppert snatches Aspinall win surviving four match darts as Gurney edges past Gilding at Austrian Darts Open

Danny Noppert has qualified for the quarter-finals at the Austrian Darts Open after a fine comeback. 'The Freeze' survived three match darts from 'The Asp'.

Noppert fell behind by a break in the first leg and had to catch up moments later from 3-5. An 80 finish and an 18-darter levelled the score before Noppert won the match with a 14-darter only after Aspinall missed chances for the match.

Daryl Gurney proved too strong for Andrew Gilding earlier in the afternoon. Gilding took a 1-3 lead with a 12-darter, but then Gurney took three in a row. It then became 4-4, before Gurney decided the match via two 15-darters.
