At 66, Paul Lim is still active as a dart player and still throwing the high averages. The Singapore Slinger has especially impressed in the World Cup of Darts in recent years.
Lim played in the World Cup of Darts in recent years alongside Harith Lim and he discussed what their displays in this tournament bring to Asia.
"I really enjoy the World Cup format. I've known Harith for a long time, I remember when I was playing in Singapore in the early days, he was just a kid. He in his junior years actually went over to England and played in the World Youth (Masters) and he actually won that. He is a good player," said Lim on the Darts Legends podcast.
"We got on well as friends, we're like brothers. We are not related even though we are Lim but we actually enjoy and respect each other."
"It gives them a lot of hope. I think that's what we need. We just don't have that opportunity as much as what is happening in Europe. I reckon if I were to live in Europe or UK I would definitely chase the circuit."
In terms of his darting future, Lim has no plans to pack away the darts any time soon despite being 66 and revealed that he has been practising even more during COVID-19.
"I really don't know when I'm going to stop because I've never really thought about retiring. I swear I still practice everyday and I am looking forward to going to tournaments. In actual fact since COVID-19, all I do is I practice."
"I believe I still have a passion, if it was just a job, I'd quit from it. I still enjoy darts."
