PDC Challenge Tour 9 Update: Koltsov, Gilding and Harris among players through to Quarter-Finals

The Quarter-Final line-up has been confirmed at the ninth Challenge Tour event with Boris Koltsov, Andrew Gilding and Cody Harris all through.
Koltsov put in the performance of the round to see off Mareno Michels to continue his good form as of late. He hit a 101.4 average in a 5-3 win and he will face off against Harris in the Quarter-Finals.
This was after 'Code Star' averaging 101.1 against Mark Walsh in a 5-3 win. Gilding smashed Nathan Rafferty in a 5-1 win as he also moved through.
There was also victories for the likes of Martin Atkins (Wigan) and Andy Jenkins as the first event of the day comes towards it's conclusion in Peterborough.
This is the first event of four this weekend at the East of England Arena in Peterborough with players who finish in high positions on the Order of Merit after this weekend gaining reserve places in PDC Players Championship events.
This is when the 128 player field cannot be made up and as well as that Tour Cards and World Championship spots are up for grabs at the end of the 20 events.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I blame the PDC to a certain extent though doubt they really care as they win regardless of which player wins or loses.Mysstree16-11-2024
- @UndartedWaters I totally agree with your thoughts! I totally respect Kirk but in this instance I was disappointed with his lack of crowd control. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
