The PDC European Tour events which are scheduled for Leverkusen and Munich in the next few weeks will be postponed due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
Up to now, Darts is one of the only sports that has seen little disruption due to the Coronavirus with only the PDC Asian Tour seeing postponements; but this has also affected the
European Tour now.
This came after a decision by the federal governments in North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria to prevent gatherings of over 1,000 people; this has meant that the third and fourth European Tour events will not take place on their original dates.
These are the European Darts Open (ET3) in Leverkusen which was due to take place on March 27-29; as well as the German Darts Grand Prix (ET4) in Munich; which was set for April 11-13.
All parties are working to schedule new dates for the events; with the potential that other events will be moved; in order to help with the postponement.
Also this could also impact European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen which is set to take place next weekend (March 20-22); with PDC Europe evaluating the situation in association with the local authorities.
