The PDC have announced the latest events which have now been cancelled as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Since the pandemic began, the PDC have been unable to hold events following restrictions being implemented and while the Premier League and World Series events have been shifted to later this year or next year, other events are still up in the air.
For May and June at least, these have now been decided. The five European Tour events planned in these months in Graz, Budapest, Riesa, Sindelfingen and Trier will not take place as scheduled.
Also, the same goes for Players Championship,
Development Tour and Challenge Tour which were all set to take place in the coming month.
Also, the World Cup of Darts is the first TV tournament to be affected; with the event which usually takes place between June 18-21 now postponed with hopes that it will be moved to later in the year when the schedule allows.
In addition, One event has already been cut entirely from the calendar and that is the
Champions League of Darts in Leicester which will not be held this year; with a ranking event in the Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest now taking precedent on September 4-6.
Further European Tour events in Germany have also been cancelled later in the year that were initially rescheduled; as the government have imposed restrictions till the end of August on mass gatherings. If this is lifted before, the PDC have noted that all players would be told as to the plans going forward.
