The PDC Order of Merit is the ranking system used to determine who is the best dart player in the world. This ranking is based on prize money won in a 24 month period.
Players must therefore defend their results from 2020 in the world ranking in 2022. However, this does not apply if a player has started a new two-year Tour Card period.
Until July, however, players no longer have to defend their ranking. This is because in 2020 no ranking tournaments were played from 16 March to 7 July due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the next eleven Players Championship tournaments and seven Euro Tours players will have the chance to increase their money on the PDC Order of Merit.
