The field for the biggest PDC World Championship ever has been confirmed.
All 96 competitors are known for the sport's flagship event, held once more at the Alexandra Palace in London. The draw for the World Championship, held by Rob Cross, will be conducted at 5.30pm on Monday live on Sky Sports.
Corey Cadby is a notable absentee from the list. The UK Open finalist has struggled with visa issues all year, and will not play. He joins New Zealander Tahuna Irwin on the list of dropouts. Matthew Edgar and Craig Ross replace the duo.
As PDC world number one, Michael van Gerwen is again the top seed at the Ally Pally. He could be set to play Adrian Lewis or Raymond van Barneveld - competing in his penultimate World Championship - in the last 16.
A total of 28 nations will be represented at the World Championship. It will become 29 if Latvia's Madars Razma succeeds in the PDC Tour Card Holders' Qualifier.

- I don't have a problem with someone being whoever they want to be, but ultimately there is a Ladies and Mens format for a reason. What is going to stop substandard men claiming that they are transgender and entering the ladies format for an opportunity to increase their profile, prize money, ranking etc etc. We know that the current crop of PDC players will suck up to van Leuven and will not speak out.richieburnettrocks23-10-2024
- The bottom line is Beau will be a triple World Champion soon. She is so many levels better than the rest of the ladies. Lorraine and Aileen have never really raised their game, I really expected the quality of the ladies game to have improved but excluding Beau, it seems to have detiorated.
