The Players Championship Order of Merit has been updated after the latest double header from Barnsley which saw Peter Wright claim both titles in a stunning display from 'Snakebite'.
Wright as a result is up to fourth in the race to Minehead with some poor form at times this season; meaning he is behind James Wade, Glen Durrant and Dave Chisnall who have also won multiple titles on the Players Championship series this year.
Adrian Gray and Devon Petersen as a result of a brilliant run on Wednesday in Players Championship 20; have launched themselves into contention for Minehead also.
They are in 60th and 62nd respectively. Despite there being multiple events to go before the line-up is confirmed they have brought themselves a big opportunity to be involved in the season ending event.
In terms of those outside of the top 64, they include Simon Whitlock, Jamie Hughes and further down Gary Anderson. All of whom have a job on their hands to be involved at the end of the year.
The same can be said for Corey Cadby who is unlikely to be appearing in the Hildesheim double header due to being back in Australia for the World Series. As a result this could hamper his chances of reaching the World Championship.
