POLL: Should the PDC add Wade as an 11th player to the Premier League Darts line-up?

James Wade won the UK Open last weekend and rose to fourth position in the world ranking as a result. However, The Machine has not received an invitation to the Premier League Darts this year.

The invitations for the coming edition had already been distributed. Nine players were invited to the Premier League Darts after the World Championship, while Jonny Clayton received the last spot after winning the Masters.

The Premier League usually starts in early February, but the start has been postponed to early April due to the corona pandemic. The first phase of the competition will be played behind closed doors in Milton Keynes in April. The first five rounds of play are scheduled from April 5-9, followed by four rounds from April 19-22.

This gives the PDC the theoretical possibility to make a change to the line-up. Because, with his fourth place in the world ranking and his recent major success, doesn't Wade just belong in the Premier League Darts?

It should not be a big problem from an organizational perspective. Six instead of five games per night during the first half of the competition could be an option. And on Judgment Night, three darts players will be eliminated instead of two. This means the second phase can continue as normally with eight players.

Dartsnews is curious what our visitors think of this situation. Should Wade be added to the line-up? Give your opinion via the poll below, or leave a comment at the bottom of this post.
